Right Triumphs

I believe good triumphs O’er evil given time With justice being king, I have enormous faith Fairness is everything. I believe good triumphs, It’s so necessary A moral system works, True values are honored With occasional quirks. I believe good triumphs While Karma sees to it, We all must do our part Living with principles, Our home’s the place to start.

L Milton. John Lennon sang about instant karma; but I believe that kind of karma to be brought down upon someone properly deserving. "Gonna knock you right on the head." But the triumphs of the "good" that you speak of in this poem, though, like true karma, "O’er evil GIVEN TIME", will ultimately prevail. This I too agree. Thanks for this poem L Milton...

Gershon Made a good point Milton, but I agree it starts in the home, and in the end Right does Triumph. I really like how you wrote this. It reminds me of a elderly woman who put an ad out, in a need of an unwanted sofa. If someone would donate it to her. Well, a kind soul did. She was so thankful to them. Weeks later sitting on the sofa she felt that the cushions were sort of abrasive, on the uncomfortable side. Finally she said maybe I can refoam them. So she went out and bought new foam(cont)

Yes. I believe if you do the right thing, you'll be rewarded for it in one way or another. In any case, your conscience will be clear.

She got her sewing kit out and proceeded to cut the cushions to take the old foam out. To her surprise she noticed the cushion was full of Hundred dollar bills wrapped up. When she finally finished counting , the total sum was 39 thousand dollars. She pondered what to do, and she said to herself, well God has given me two healthy grandchildren, and a good life. She realized that giving the money back was the right thing to do. She called the couple who donated the sofa and told them. They couldnt believe it. The sofa was given to them, it belonged to an uncle who recently abruptly passed away. They bought her a Fridge and gave her 2500.00. So Right does Triumphs. God bless you Milton...

Too bad that everyone doesn't believe in the triumph of Goodness and Right like you do... In fact, I think the world has swung to the side of pessimism and negativism over the last 15 years. Pity, that. :) gw

I'm afraid you are right about this, gw, but there are a few of us who still carry the torch. Call me rose-colored glasses!
