Right There In the Moment
Alone with what I love, be it a sin,
there is no better way I know to cheat!
Warm salty butter drizzles down my chin.
I’m right there in the moment when I eat!
My corn’s now off the cob. The fragrance of
bread straight from the oven my nostrils greet.
I spread it with that butter which I love.
I’m right there in the moment when I eat.
I waste no morsel of it; next I try
smooth creamy soup, which is a little sweet.
It’s mellow yellow taste of squash. Oh my!
I’m right there in the moment when I eat.
Roast beef; leafy greens with dressing’s flavor!
One thing remains to make my feast complete.
Lindor’s chocolate on my tongue I savor.
I’m right there in the moment when I eat!
