Ridiculous

Ridiculous, an elephant rides on a donkey
To give a scepter and crown to a monkey,
Let the kingdom be ruled by a sleazy rat
You’ll get an eye for an eye and tit for tat,
The monster inside is not outside the door
The fly on the ceiling is not on the floor,
Walls may have ears but have nada to say
The mantis raises its hands but doesn’t pray.
Say, why no god is found in the god’s lake?
Dammit, nor the devil lurks in the devil’s lake,
Angels don’t fall from the Angel’s fall
Echoes left to their own voice, don’t call
Which came first, the egg or the chicken?
Maybe egghead first, then all the women!

Very creative! The animal imagery is topsy-turvey imaginative. Quite an original write. Best wishes, Brian
