Riddle Me This

Riddle Me This

He lives in North Carolina.
And writes about eyeballs.
He shares his inspiration.
Seems sweet as syrup, senryu …
and haiku from his heart falls.
You might think it is easy
Guessing who he is.
Locating mystery written lines.
Some of which, I just must find.
His has a flare for fable.
His words may torch and scorch.
He seems to be quite able…
To swing words without a porch…
I read our sweetheart’s “Poetry Pal”
There, delightful sparks ignite.
So, if you know this gentleman
I would love to read his fame.
So, please join in this riddle game.
Help me guess this poet’s name.

Written in response to Linda-Marie Bariana’s poem “Poetry Pal”

Hi Dane Ann, This poem has made me speechless...Again I have to say I'm not worthy of these honors...I just write what comes into my head and sometimes from my heart and it just ends up on paper or the PC...Thank you so much...I'm floating today!!! lol Marty

Had to solve this riddle yesterday, Dane Ann, and was a bit surprised to learn it was Marty. However, after reading your poem, I think the description of his work -- especially the lines about how poems fall from his heart -- seem to describe him to a T. I'm enjoying these writes about our Souper friend. Linda-Marie will love this one, too. Love, Carolyn
