Richard

I wish that I could write
Like my son the poet
I'm just an amateur
And well I know it

I search the site
And there again
He has written something wonderful
With his amazing pen

Wish that I might write
As he has done
I know I am extremely proud
Of my wonderfully talented son

Dedicated to my son Richard poet extraordinaire
I am so glad that all my children are different
I can love you all for different reasons
Mom

Had no idea you are Richard's mom until today! Lovely poem and all you've said is true but you are the one to be "Congratulated" for raising such a fine son. Cheers!

Hi Edith: Now I have figured out whose Mama you are. It is so nice to see family interacting here. Poetry can be such a lonely pursuit. Easy to see where Richard gets his thoughful ways from. Cheers SuZ

I agree Edith: It certainly reflects in his poems and comments. I am glad you have found writing as an outlet. I didn't start writing poetry until I retired and I find it is a wonderful way to know myself and life, Much Aloha, SuZ

Yes my son is amazing. He is probably the nicest man you could ever meet. I always do Christmas letters to my family and I did the first poem about two years ago and he put it on the soup and I have been venting every since LOL Thanks for the comments and have a very Merry Christmas Blessings Edith

Mama Bear....you have raised a wonderful son. I love his poetry. His words just settle in one's soul so nicely. :) Are you sure he hasn't gotten that from you? ;) Lovely write about a wonderful man. You have every right to be proud. My 19 year old comes home for spring break on Friday. I'm thrilled.

Mom has always had a love for words and reading so it must be partially inherited from her. I am also a huge fan of yours Eileen. Enjoy your son, our son is just about to start exams and then will be home for the summer.
