Under the scorching sun I thirst for rain As the summer heat cracks open my skin For that scarce water I waited in vain Leaving me too weak and dried up within Gone is my greenery without monsoon As the long dry season makes me too gloom How I yearn for the rain to come out soon To give source of life to my dying womb 25 October 2017
