Rhythm and Blues I'Ve Used

Has God ever sang to you the song that was in His heart That song you'll always remember and played a certain part of your life so vividly it's never to depart But always says remember He gave to you sorrow from His heart One day while sitting at the bar they played that certain song It's words I'll always remember it sang to me so strong I'll never forget the bar tender looking at me while it played It gave to her a heart so tender a secret bond was made "The Tony Rich Project" sang "Nobody knows" It said to me with in my heart for me this song was composed I couldn't hide the glaze of my eyes as I knew God speaking to me I alone only knew the words were written for me It wasn't long after that the scene was the very same bar C.C. said she loved me but her love I'd disregard The day she thought engagement day would come with my rejection "For You" a song by "Kenny Lattimore" a song of her selection While we danced she hugged me so tightly the proof of love it gave These many years have past and God gave me one more song The day of my bereavement I played a certain song I didn't know God was speaking as I played that song "I Call Your Name" by "Switch" I played it all morning long By then I knew all the words but didn't know they were mine I played it over and over and kept saying one more time If I knew then what I know now That I had only once to show how If I had one song to sing while April were still alive I'd ask her to the dance floor and hold her really tight.

A most lovely and touching poem. Sometimes we have it all, but only admit it when it's too late. // paul
