Rhyming Verse

Rhyming verse
I love writing verse that rhyme,
Yes I do that all the time.
Most of my readers think it fine,
At public readings they appreciate each line.

Many famous poets, past and present,
Write rhyming poetry giving their readers great content.
I do not criticize writers of blank verse,
Sadly many regard rhyming poetry as perverse.

Write from your heart, let your words flow,
Different poets with different styles will present their show.
Poets are encouraged to write with zeal and zest,
Taking care, presenting in style, doing their best.

Your dreams, your hopes, your ideas you wish to impart,
You must be ready to present them from the start.
The reader will decide what he likes best,
All poets know that is the crunching test.
