Rhapsody At Noon

The morning slipped away
 hours that quickly fade
stay with me a little while
 how I miss that smile.

Another Monday come and gone
passing as the days move on
this I without you
 breaks my heart in two.

Just another song to remind me
  what will be, will be
though the years have passed
love measured how our hearts were cast.

Piano play and torch song burned
your love never once was spurned
and in life's aftermath
we'll return to our joined path.
