Rewind World

In a rewind world, we could live without regret if, as in a movie, we could do another take. Erase the messed up scene and do a fresh reset, and on the new recording, avoid that bad mistake. No need to mend them all, but some of them we should: some act that hurt someone, some words we can't take back. We'd still learn the lessons; I hope that's understood, if we could fix the times our judgment jumped the track. Alas, a rewind world in truth we can forget. We’ll have to do the best we can to set our errors straight, admit our bad behavior, and live with some regret... if not, more sleepless nights will likely be our fate.

Hi Roy, me being me, this would be my kind of world, it would be perfect. Alas, that shall never be the case, but we can learn from our mistakes and at least try and erase them, that would help a little. Let the words roll Roy. This was a good read for me tonight....Vlad.

Life is all about lessons and learning. Your poem expresses that difficulty very well. It is so nice to read your work again Roy ; )

Amazing, I just read Richard Lamoreaux's poem of the same name then quite by accident came to yours. These are noble aspirations. We just need to bring them to mind every 15 minutes or so. I also just posted one of similar intent I hope you'll read: 'Tears in Rain.'

Good one Roy! You have heard the saying....life is like a checking account "yesterday's checks are cancelled, tomorrows checks haven't been written, all we know for sure is what we spend today"
