Notes About The Poem

Can you believe anyone saying the people are revolting? We're trying to reclaim.

Revolution

Revolution
By Franklin Price

I have just begun to hear
Statements falling on my ear
Of revolution in this land
As we the people take a stand

Seems we don't like rule by few
We're searching for that someone new
Have found and voted for that man
The establishment is not a fan

They're trying to negate our vote
Telling half truths and lies of note
Their fat cow may go away
If the people win it's not their day

They say that it is revolution
Yet we the people are the institution
The constitution states we rule
When you say revolt, you are a fool

We've finally said enough's enough
We the people are getting tough
To rid ourselves of royalty
Again throw tea into the sea

It was revolt the first time through
Now it's something we must do
Wrest the government from the few
Return to the people, me and you

The target for all. And the ideal focus through an eminently readable poem...
