Reverie

Good morning.
What will your breakfast be?
Can I make you coffee, hot tea?
How did you sleep?
I’ll rub your back while we let this steep.
We don’t have to get up you know.
There’s no place we have to go.
I can think of a lot to do,
lying quietly with you near.
Precious moments, with you here,
holding you just so,
I do love you, you know.
A day, not too long away my dear,
one of us may be alone I fear.
Not by our choice or doing.
Not by wanting…
Just that time of life ensuing.
Though daunting,
the crown of living,
the epitome of giving
what was never ours to own.

                  ~//~

You have some nice descriptive wording and rhyming here. Just one little change is needed in your ninth line: replace "quiet" with "quietly". An adverb is needed there instead of an adjective. Everything else appears fine.
