Revelations

Revelations
David J Walker

And now I know
	The certainty
Of the coming
	Of autumn
When these
young green leaves
must turn and fall

It is Spring
	And I am thinking
Of last winter
	And the cruel coldness
Of the winter to come

I am thinking of
	Split logs burning to ash

As if funeral pyre
But it was the only way

	We could stay
	Warm

I am thinking of my father
	Who passed
	Ages ago

I wonder if he is thinking of me
	As I dream of him

Silently saying
	Privately conveying

The secretes awaiting
In Revelations
