Revelation For Men

When they come back worn out 
from work (usually) late
in the evening,
the men ugly throw down 
their shoes polished 
with much care in the morning.

Behind the table they stay
chew quickly 
a sharp morsel
and go the cold beds
(the children sleep with the new toys). 

And they think to get to sleep
this night without a dream.

Sometimes in their dream the men cry …
