Revelation

I’ve had brighter days
That held me somewhat closer,
That began a bit softer,
And had calmed my anxious way.

I’ve seen stronger moments,
That had sort of helped me to see things clearly,
Where there was space for everyone,
And it was easier to believe.

I’ve walked safer roads,
With more possibilities,
And more paths leading to home
When there were reasons for everything,
And things stood fair.

As I remembered how it felt to be free.
