Reveal

Before the news spreads from my heart to my head,
With a clear view of the paper with my hand holding the pen,
The impact is startling, and then within minutes,
I sit back and can't believe my heart really wrote this,
My day to day vocabulary is not the same,
I wake up with the first line, and the rest falls on the page,
My mind is clear with no distractions involved,
Its like waking up to receive that one emergency phone call,
That needs to be said whether I like to hear it or not,
And needs to be written down immediately on the spot,
My mind is clear and my heart is focused,
Awakened from my slumber, dumbfounded I wrote this,
During the day distractions move so fast,
I believe this is the time when my heart can grasp,
That when I am rest my eyes can see,
Throughout the day taking in everything,
Like a sponge soaking in all the information,
To waking up with new revelations...
