Return Happy

I do need to find
some peace of mind
bring some dark, into the light.

Those old days of joy
as a carefree boy
seems now, so long ago.

I remember when
good times back then
life played, in a pleasure dome.

What occurred you see
and has come to be
a broken heart, spilling out memories.

One big turn in this life
when disease took my wife
now a struggle, for happies return.

That will do it. I’ve seen what my dad goes through after mom died 2 years ago. To see heartbreak of a spouse is to hold his heart in the palms of my hand.
