return
does the skin I wear define me?
peel it back and look in, divinely
split open my skin and alter my bones
pin me to a cross, place on a crown of thorns
let me ask again, does the skin I wear define me?
is it simply a cover, or does it speak silently?
one may say no, one may say yes
but is it the vessel or the soul that we dress?
