Retep Gargano is no more

We spent hours talking
as I wrote poetry he divinely
adored everything I wrote
he adored my grace my
dance my lovely smile each
morning he'd write how did
you sleep my beautiful we
gathered flowers for his
mother's grave the yellow
ones that grew near the nave
you're so beautiful the
most beautiful girl in the world
I want to share my world
with you can you just get
away be with me I would say
yes let's stroll the sand
hand in hand oh Retep you're
such a wonderful man
keeping a journal of our
secret plans the sun would
wink as the bridge opened
as we sailed across the tides
funny how life hides the good
parts leaving only broken
hearts torn and pulled apart
Peter desperately grabs for
what is left of our song
my poetry he did long
that fed his soul filled his
weariness i won't live
without you a dying lover
cancer never to recover

Yolanda, you certainly can write beautifully about this subject. The pain will never relent, but you bring him back to life for all of us with your words. That is a wonderful way to celebrate his life and his affection for you. We're all sorry for your loss and feel it in your words.

To lose one's beloved is not easy to stop the grief. I know too well after seven years of sorrow.
