Resurrection Promises
O sun, arise and break forth into singing.
Day star, awake shake off the chill of night!
Darkness has tried to fight off life and light,
but life emerged with death no longer clinging.
The stones have roared and chimed the death of death,
the ground has opened at the dawn of day
and into life abundant stepped our golden ray,
and death has taken down its final breath.
Now waiting still to answer to life’s call,
the body waits to see life’s final token,
the word of life has now already spoken
the resurrection promises for all.
