Resurrection

Cracked mirrors,
I stood alone in this blood soaked hell I created
I build this forsaken structure with my own two soiled hands
Hid my tears behind my back
My only escape was emptying a bottle,
Turning it into broken glass
They made a monster out of me
A monster only you seem to want to fix
How do we do this?
I was a paper smeared with my own tears and ink
I was a story to be forever left untold
I buried myself in my own grave
You resurrected an empty girl
Brought me back from the dead and saved me
Breath into me all that you are
So I may know you are real
The pain disappears along with my burning scars
You brought me back as I was fading
You were everything I craved
My only wish is that you might one day feel the same
In my head, I whisper your name
You said you cared and I believe you
Now prove to me that together we can heal
And be set free of the pain we have lived through
