Why must you toast that slice?
You sure don't knead the carbs.
Please put the bread away.
Stick to your diet dear.

       I like rye!
       Dry fresh toast!
       Please don't sigh.
       Pie instead?
       Don't be sly!

Danny, carbs are hard to resist in all their glorious forms. In a way, making it yourself is fun. Personally, a pie baker here. I plan to make some fresh ones and distribute them to runners as slices at the NYC marathon in November. It's a good excuse to bake. Great pun at the start of this poem. Smiles!!
