Restless Peace
Open my mouth to speak, words fleeting
Just as spring comes, chasing away the cold.
Unfriendly contentment
Bone-chilling fresh air
Garroted
Rising tides,
frozen soil prepares the soul
Its harsh surface
Smoothes away excess fat
Left naked, unprotected
All that is left:
sand and salt,
Neither will be used
Grace fills my song for the evening,
Resting easy.
Covered in wind that clouds longevity,
Observing the light at the end of the shore,
And a new day brings
new life.
