Restless Legs Syndrome

My legs twitch
In diabolical motion
Sending waves
Unintentionally
Through my legs
They are annoying
Not painful per se
But hurtful in another sense
Keeping me awake
During the night hours
I jump when it happens
Shock waves uncontrolled
I frown by each wave
Swearing at their ferocity
They don’t stop
I keep getting them
A crazy twitch within
Passing no comfort
Through to me, ever
Keeping me up
All through the night
With nothing but the twitch
In my helpless legs

I get this too. that's why I came to see this poem. Not as bad as you. not twitching,just irriatation, like the horrid ache in my back at this moment. What a day. I am getting off soon and relaxing on my bed!! I enjoyed this read a lot.

Twitchin bitchin bloody legs, pain in the mind the awful kind, ask it to stop, so sleeping mind, begone begone we begs... my sympathy mate:(

Russell u described this health condition so perfection.. all aspects of it...luv... I am always swinging my legs to and fro but from exercising so very much when I do sit it is so automatic a gesture to let the legs flail...oh ...what will we do luv?

That would be a horrible condition..At least now there is medicine for this illness...My grandson has inherited Huntington's Disease from his dad..There is not medicine or treatment no cure..Part of the illness is uncontrollable movements day and night seven days a week..Thanks for stopping by..Sara

Restless Leg Syndrome is very annoying--it's like unintentional karate kicks while u are trying to relax...Requip helps the patients where I work..talk with your doc. I like the short lines in this poem that lend to the inability to concentrate for great lengths of time bc of your RLS. ha ha. How fitting. Nice touch. GR
