Restless

My mind wonders the endless void of dark decrypted shadow pits of my life
and echo back a sound like nails on a chalkboard.
This will be another restless night.

I look out my window to see a shadow move in the moon light
My mind wonders still, Sleep is now but a hollow memory.

Restless emotionless husk from my sleep deprived state if only the Reapers hand would
sooth my mind and wisk me away.

wow! Jeff, this is from 2009... Thanks for the comment on my ink poem. --- I enjoyed this line the most... Sleep is now but a hollow memory"" this verse has awesome metaphors. Hope your mind is much better now, and soothing in all good ways... xox~ Linda

I can feel with you, Jeff, nights without sleep, when thoughts have their own life and dreams won't come. Good write. I really like it very much. Thank you for your comment on Lonesome at the Sea. Your friend Gert

Hi Jeff, rather gloomy poem isn't it, but good form, form and rhythm flow though, Sincerely Moses
