Resplendent

I don’t want him ready! I want him resplendent!
                                                 (Movie Kate and Leopold)

R-obbed, his attire, his soul —
E-ventide broods awful choices:
S-immering of melting irises,
P-opulation of fattened princesses.
L-eaping lords, jealous of him.
E-ager, the Uncle’s tongue slick, licking the envelope —
N-ettled invitation of eager straight backs .
D-inner, it is him, but curiously the clock moves ahead.
E-ntertaining in the end, Cinderellaesque resplendency.
N-ot of their time, she presented early and almost too late.
T-he bridge gapped by a lady leaping...his forever after happiness.

"Cinderellaesque resplendency" -this hit me as completely brilliant, but the whole poem is actually, Kim.

"Eventide broods," "his forever after happiness," - beautiful images in your artfully crafted acrostic. Really nice work, Kim. I love acrostics.
