Respectfully Me
I would seduce you if I was "that guy,"
Who did not care that you had a boyfriend.
So, since I am "not him," I will not try
To treat your emotions like a toy, then.
Though I would have enjoyed pursuing you,
I refuse to take those steps down that road,
Trying as hard as I can to stay true
To this counter productive nice guy code.
Ultimately, the choice would have been yours,
But my debate would have been convincing,
With your man, trying to even the scores,
Left to have been the only one fencing.
My attraction to you is plain to see,
So I end this note: RESPECTFULLY ME!
