Respect, Not Attention
Today he will award himself,
Today he will pretend achieve,
Today will be the best ever day,
Thinking others will believe,
His attention seeking, complaining,
Pity-me Facebook page,
Will be accepted by the thousands,
Following his life on stage,
But, deep down, he knows he doesn’t
Really know these friends on line,
And what he wants is just their “likes”,
To trigger his dopamine,
“Like” alcohol, “like” heroine,
Like all drugs fire in people’s heads,
When what he could be doing,
Is seeking a respectful life instead.
