Respect, Is It Earned Or Given

The expectation of respect spans far and wide.
Is it earned today; NO….it’s all about pride.
Some young people exploit it; most expect it due in return.
Causing chaotic havoc with little regard to bridges burned.

Respect is:
A consideration, esteem of another that you know or meet.
Respect comes from how you feel about yourself; sometimes earned, never cheap.

Parental or family respect:
Words may not be spoken yet it shows in what you do.
Producing action, speaking louder than words said “on cue.”
Supports behavior, conduct, effort; when saying “I love you.”

Respect proves itself; re-enforces the care of our elders, appreciation of parents, tolerates, keeps…
Not forced, or summoned; but draws from raw regard deposited deep.

RESPECT
