Resolutions

Those yearly resolutions are largely token,
About mundane things that may not matter.
They're mostly promises that will be broken,
They're like filling the air with idle chatter.

Having good intentions will bring no gain,
Though in our hearts we're most sincere.
From this yearly exercise let's all refrain,
At least until this same time next year.
