Resolutions

Tis the season for resolutions
Happy New Year once again
Instilled with renewed enthusiasm
Solemn determination to succeed

Intrepid with my long list of goals
Start the year steadfastly committed

Travel, writing, fitness are in my future
Hectic days removed from my agenda
Embellished hours to grace my new life

Yesteryears overflowed with stress
Enduring compounded resentment and regret
Audacity fills my back pocket
Revved up fired up in my red rocket
