Resigned to my Fate

pulled my skiff up to a pretty palm left her to wander the island was I alone? were there natives? would they be friendly or take off my head? the sun was setting low in the sky air had an ambiance of quiet I felt peaceful and resigned to my fate no matter what the outcome there was a skip in my step
