Resignation

Everybody has to go sometime,
Thank you for the time spent,
I’ve enjoyed every minute,
Could’ve been longer,
Took some settling in,
People all around me,
I grew to love,
On the whole,
Life has been good,
Had a few moments,
It all worked out in the end,
Matured into the position,
Got better with time,
Stepping down now,
Leaving the work to my sons,
Next generation,
Hope you’ve been happy with my work,
I’ve tried to do my best,
Apart from a couple of mishaps,
Which I was sorry about,
Thank you for excepting my apologies
And resignation
Looking forward to my next adventure,
Going to do a bit of traveling,
Should be out of this world,
My service is no longer required,
I regretfully acknowledge,
My time here is done.
Thank you,
Yours faithfully!

Very sad, Mrs Wendy. It's not over until it's over. Nicely penned!
