Rescued
Did you enjoy the ocean as much
as the ocean enjoyed you?
Were you able to find your ebb and flow,
did seaweed get tangled in your toes?
Heard you bathed in rain,
did your sensuous scent drip
on a blanket of sand?
Did you follow footsteps?
or was the wind chasing you?
Did you explore the depths
right at shore's edge?
Lay there at night and
let the moon fall before your legs?
Were you impregnated
by the sounds of waves crashing on you?
Did you come in warm waters?
Or did current flow from you?
Who was the captain floating above you?
When you laid there, did you dare move?
Did his ship wreck as he fell victim?
Were you left stranded on an island?
Was your s.o.s. distress or a sign saying
"I just want to be left alone for an hour or two
and after that we can do what it do."
Were you rescued?
Swept away by the scent of your own
perfume.
Oceans and thoughts of you
