Rescue

How can a stranger
Save your life?
A simple comment sent
My way
And she rescued my day

Pulled from the mundane
Saved from the obscurity
To make me feel important
To keep me from dismay
She rescued my day

Shocked was I
At the breadth of human kindness
I took it upon myself to pay it forward
So maybe when I pay
I can rescue your day
