Requiem of Love

I was the prey for the cruelty of love, While the serpent inside flicked its tongue, See my scars and know where they're from, Sensually carved and bled until numb, You were my muse and I loved your smile and grace, Now memories in a treasure chest on the bottom of a lake, I search for that treasure but soon the night will fall, I cried out for you yet only my echo answers the call, Walking among the falling leaves until dawn, I gaze to the horizon seeing the sun's crown stretching on, My lantern shows two shadows but when i look yours is gone, A dream to a nightmare is the only reason I move on.
