Requiem For a Stranger

Feral soul,
Name unknown,
Were you lost or found
In your solitude,
Striding stealthily
Through moonlit nights?
Wild wanderer
What sights have you seen,
What secrets are now forever kept
Behind once bright eyes?
Were you loved
Or left for the wasteland to devour?
I have known you only from afar
But here you were always welcome
To be as you were.
Alas we meet,
At the end of your mortal journey,
At the beginning of your journey home.
Here,
Under sun and sky
I offer you this farewell:
May you find peace in the continuum
