Rent
Couldn't pay my rent
So I bought a tent
Living off the land
Never a helping hand
Nothing new
Nothing true
Still missing you
The life I couldn't face
So bowed out in disgrace
Didn't care who won this race
Sitting under a tree
The price of living free
Under a sky so blue
Nothing much to do
Sit back and write
Enjoying the sun light
Lost isn't a bad place to be
So much to see
Clouds drifting by
Watching birds fly
The theater in the sky
Pulled my hat low
Nowhere did I need to go
Decided to take life slow
Under the tree I stayed
Watching as nature played
Feeling so content
Glad I couldn't pay my rent
And bought this tent
