Mark Hughes Poet Rhyme

Remote Control

Perhaps a right of passage      
or a males destiny
controlling the remote
always seemed just right to me.

Skillful flicking fingers
fast on the keys
scanning thru the channels
and with great dexterity.

Change to other stations
commercials gotta go
such a star on the clicker
a real surfing pro.

It's of course my opinion
but these words I extol
all's right in my world
when I have remote control!

How annoying it is when it stops working or the AAA batteries inside start to leak (at least Apple remotes have rechargeable batteries, but even those remotes stop working eventually. Thanks by the way for stopping by and asking a thoughtful question. Politics is really bad, and I'm willing to criticize both major parties as needed. Too many selfish people in that profession. Not all, but how do you account for the straight party line voting that takes place?
