Remnants of Time,

Remnants of time,
   survive in faded picture albums
   dusted through the years.
Moments long forgotten
   between the requirements of life
   by the struggling of living and dying.
Bonded not by blood
   but love
   the  lifestyle of acceptance as we were and are;
in our declining years nothing left to measure or count
   as the only thing recalled
   is the joy, the laughter and the tears
in the remnants of time.
