Remnants of Our Love

Rooting you out Out of marrow Out of blood You were my keeper Double edged our dreams and tossed Dear love Friendship left to drift Withdrawing from you Withdrawing from me Its clear to see the game we had played Where dream meets the real Where babies are born Though I'm a fool To play by your rules I'm sick with love Death will come The sun will ignite Grass will grow We spoke in your midnight dreams I'm caught between your shadows The depth of your grace When drive out in all directions I provided the cushion and ear you discarded the thought I feel your voice Grazing between breaths I've needed your love To right what was wrong Its hard to press on without you At the peak of your life I'm sorry to let you drop I cannot fill the facade If you wont come to follow me I must leave it behind The remnants of our love
