Remnants of Life

And there you remained, Permanent as the figure of your soul, Attached to the veins of my heart, You dwell upon my vision, There you are, Smiling restlessly, you were enslaved. Secretly unchained, You flew freely, But you still remained, Attached. Has Love found a partner? Or has God relocated our hearts, Replaying me and you As Adam and Eve? Cause’ baby, it hasn’t changed, Our love, it’s well-made, And Sturdy We shall Remain.
