Remnants

Shadows overpow’ring such gaze
beseeching steps along the way
borders crossed a powerful maze
burdens crept in, dragged on a sleigh

In a world that nobody knows
fate intertwining each detail
fate conniving with the laws
all to condemn, this ‘ternal jail

What’s left, this tormented journey
this rollercoaster ride of life
mem’ries fading even slowly
taking its toll, there goes the night

Paper cranes, o paper cranes, fly
soar up the boundless horizon
leave pain behind, let sorrow die
and let it remain just as remnants
