Remnants

Dried up tears, coat the surface of my face
Leaving a glow, that can never be replaced
Forever gone, my heart just holds the trace
Of love… her love

Body worn, it sought her day and night
Heaven knows, I put up one hell of a fight
Even though, I lack now morning light
I miss the love…her love

This is a sad and tenderly written piece that I think many can relate to. The emotion of this piece is real. The ending lines in both stanzas are perfect. Love, Robin
