Reminiscing

Looking back as I wander. Looking back I wonder.. Violent imagery posted at the fertile age of thirteen. Lips that quiver, Expressions that form. Disgust, embarrassment, pain.. But never sympathy. Staring at the blank page it seems unending. The stories of life Ive told. Twenty six with the same pains of old. Empty, E M P T Y is this page before me. Words are much harder to form. Staring back I wonder, How ive ended up alone. They say with age comes wisdom and hindsight is just. They say with time comes clarity. They say that things get better. Staring straightforward at this blank page before me. If I could simply write. If I had the capability to let my pain unfurl. The ink from my pen would be absorbed unto this blank page before me. E M P T Y I stare ahead and wonder. I stare ahead and fear. E M P T Y I think I may have lost my identity.
