Reminder To Keep My Mouth Shut

I should not have said anything But I did And now it is coming back To kick my petootsie To eat my heart up To constipate my liver I should not have said anything Why can I not control this mouth? When she opened I knew And yet I let it happen This is on me.

Always a good question... After the fact answers aren't much help either, unless it helps close the old trap...

I can do so well for so long and then bam....there it goes again, that ready-to-put-a-foot-in-it mouth.

Oh, MG, how I know the feeling. I have written poems (venting kinds of things) and wished a million times I hadn't. Then I look and 50 people read it...and I'm wondering what they think of me. Then, I say to myself, "Hey, let them think what they want to, I had to say my piece!" It happens to all of us, Caren.

It is something I could not seem to stop - I knew better WHILE I was doing it!
