Remembrance Shall Soon Cease
I do not ask of your sympathy,
For I am too far gone.
I shall part to set you free,
And allow you to move on.
Your misery will come to end,
Just let yourself forget.
Your heart will soon begin to mend,
But now my sun must set.
It may be agony to remember,
So lose me from your mind.
Once a fire, now an ember,
You'll search, and then will find.
Though no longer do I live,
To you, my heart I give.
