Remembrance Day Poem

Remember them now.
Do not wait till later, but now.
Remember who paid.

Freedom has a cost.
We remember who paid it.
Do not forget them.

They fought, bled, and died.
Some never saw home again.
Remember them now.

They fought in the trench;
They fought, not played, on the beach;
So we could be free.

We remember you.
We shall not forget your face.
We thank you today.

Remembrance day is today.
Remember Canada came at a price.
Thank all those who paid it with their lives.
May we never take them, or Canada, for granted.
