Remembrance

A moment to remember the brave
Who fell on foreign fields.
Who gave their lives for us to run free,
Who fought for King and country
For us to live in peacetime.
At the eleventh minute
Of the eleventh hour
On the eleventh day
All falls silent.
A last post calls
Answered by prayer.
Let us not forget
In our remembrance,
There is still a war somewhere.
