Remembering Good Times
Remembering many good times, I suspect,
Is like repeating a favorite record continuously,
Simply because you like to muse and reflect
Even annoying others when doing it constantly.
I recall songs I could have enjoyed endlessly
Because I felt for the artist such great respect,
Other times because of the melody’s beauty
Remembering many good times, I suspect.
Vinyls of special artists I assiduously protect
Important pieces stay in my head surprisingly,
Like select memories of places I’ve trekked
Is like repeating a favorite record continuously.
Repeating songs and memories persistently
Gives opportunity special pleasures to project
You can relish these moments consistently,
Simply because you like to muse and reflect.
Something about your subconscious to inspect
Interesting how the same reoccur consistently
As time goes by, more and more you’ll collect
Even annoying others when doing it constantly.
Certain events and melodies coincide assiduously
Both so embedded in your mind you can’t reject,
Though you might attempt to do so decisively
With concentration, you’ll probably never perfect,
Remembering many good times.
